FS#222 - Form control

Description is in the doc but not in Object Inspector. Do I remove Description from doc?

I am hitting situations where the Form page is not reflecting changes in commctrl.

I changed the description of Menu in commctrl from

Allow to attach a Menu to the form. Menu must be created first.

to

Specifies menu to attach to form. Create the Menu control first

When I preview Form, I see the new version, but when I save it I see the old version.

Thoughts?

This particular problem has now disappeared: the change has been made. But I don't know why I am now seeing what I expect.

I think that I found a work-around: after changing commctrls:

  • edit Form
  • change it slightly, e.g. enter xxx somewhere
  • Save
  • edit Form again
  • remove the xxx
  • save Form

The change in commctrls shows.

DokuWiki have a powerful cache, sometimes a bit too powerful :-) This can be solved with little trick: add ?purge=true in browser address line right after URL. This will force recreate cache for this page. For details read here.

Thanks.

I have found that <key> and <color> get dropped when VARs are included. I have worked around this by making sure that commctrl is correct, then replacing the kodavar with the entry in commctrl. A bit of a pain, but I now have only 6 controls to revise.
