FS#184 - Template Gallery
I note that the documentation calls this “Templates Gallery” but 1.7.3 .0 and the screen shot call it “Form Templates”. I suggest that “Form Templates” is the better name: it fits with “Code Generation Templates”. I will change the documentation to “Form Templates”.
I note that 1.7.3.0 shows two tabs: “Standard” and “My own templates”, but that the 1.7.3.0 help and the documentation shows only “Standard”. Further, one of the templates in the “My own templates” tab has no icon. I suggest that “My own templates” be dropped. THe documentation will tell the user how to add templates and tabs.
How can the user add a description and icon to a template he creates?
How can the user delete a template he creates?
How can the user delete a tab that he creates?
Doh. That damn "My own templates" popping up over and over again This test subfolder was forgotten in one of beta-versions.
About "Form Templates" - I think it's ok.
About creating templates. User have to add icon and description to regular form and save this form to "Templates" folder or one of it's subfolders. Next time user open this dialog, he will see new template.
Deleting templates - just delete it from HDD.
The same for tabs. User have to delete subfolder - then tab disappear.
I will not document it.
I have changed the documentation.
I think that Koda should have an internal way of deleting templates.
What do you think of:
I think that Koda should have an internal way of deleting

Don't know... It's rely on filesystem, and those actions will actually delete files.
Most applications do allow the user to delete files. Perhaps Koda should offer "deletion" to Recycle Bin.
The user may also wish to edit the Description, for example, when he makes a spelling mistake in it.
He may also wish to use a template as the basis for creating another template.
I do think that the user should be prohibited from changing templates in the Standard tab; however he should be free to do anything he likes with templates in his own tabs.
The Code Generator Templates dialog has many of these features now.
While it's not hard to implement deleting, changing description and copying, I'm afraid the next step will be moving templates across the tabs and so on... This ending that dialog will duplicate the whole Explorer
I do think that Koda should be self-contained. I would limit added functionality to:
Ok, this should not be hard.
Caption done. Changed to feature request, since it’s come to that.
